Domestic abuse affects all classes, races/ethnic, gender, and all age groups. The latest statistics indicate that women account for 85 (U.S. Justice Department) percent of intimate-partner violence in the United States. Many continue to not report due to shame, fear, guilt, lack of knowledge, poor resources, etc. This course presents the relevant and up-to-date information to address the issues related to intimate-partner violence. All professionals need to maintain up-to-date information on the dynamics of domestic violence for assessment, education, treatment, and reporting. This course has received excellent reviews in the past.

Participants will be able to
Learn the definition and the history of domestic violence
Identify the four domains of danger assessment
Develop and implement the duties of professionals in domestic violence cases
Demonstrate a knowledge base on the reporting requirements
